The Euroguidance Cross Border Seminar 2026, "Career Guidance in the Digital World," will take place in Budapest, Hungary, from June 9–10, 2026. This event brings together international experts, counselors, and policymakers to discuss digital tools, innovative methods, and the impact of technology on career counseling.
About the topic
In today’s rapidly evolving job market, career guidance has entered a new era shaped by digital transformation. Traditional guidance and counselling methods are being redefined as technology opens fresh opportunities for students, professionals and institutions worldwide. The rise of automation, artificial intelligence and online platforms has changed the way people explore and pursue careers. Guidance is no longer limited to face-to-face sessions and digital services and tools (e.g. virtual mentorship, AI-powered assessments, global networking platforms, etc.) now play a central role. Recognizing the importance of this topic, during this 2-day event career guidance professionals, researchers and policy makers will join their forces and explore the opportunities which guidance tools and services bring to practitioners and their clients. Furthermore, potential risks and concerns, as well as recommendations for meaningful using of digital CGC tools and services will be discussed.
